Hiya. I shall be moving to Turkey in the next few months, and will take the opportunity to build a new layout. One of the changes I am considering is to use Tortoise points rather than Peco. I have a ZTC 511 controller which works superby, and fires the points perfectly. However, I'm told that Tortoise point motors are much more reliable and realistic in use. So I need lots of advise please. Thanks in anticipation.

Tortoise points are more realistic, and I beleive more expensive. Peco are more readily available in my experience, and indeed cheaper. However, I am not sure of the availability of either in Turkey. Good luck. Matt.

Thanks Matt. I suspect that ALL my model railway stuff will have to be sent from England, although there is a model rail club in Istanbul, but that is 8 hours by road - a long way to go for an evening's "playing."
